Do I need to be referred by my dentist?

Do I need to be referred by my dentist for orthodontic treatment?

This is a question we frequently get asked and the answer is straightforward. No, if you are looking for private orthodontic treatment, you do not need to be referred by your dentist. You can contact us directly and we will happily arrange a free consultation for you to have all your questions answered.

It is important that you talk to your dentist about your orthodontic treatment with East Midlands Orthodontics and continue to see them regularly throughout treatment as your oral hygiene is incredibly important, particularly if you have fixed braces which can make oral hygiene a little more challenging.

If your child is looking for private teen treatment, you can also refer them directly to us and we will discuss all the options available with you. If you wish to explore NHS treatment, you will usually be referred by your dentist and will follow a different process.

How do I get started?

Simply give us a call, use the enquiry form or pop into the practice and we will chat with you about all the options available and arrange a free consultation with one of our specialist orthodontists. We look forward to welcoming you to East Midlands Orthodontics.

Extremely happy with the service received from this clinic. Everyone is patient and friendly. Specially thanks to Lamia, a young lady with passion and professional attitude, who makes my daughter and me feel at ease straight away. Also Dr Wood is brilliant!
